How Can I Open a Ramen Arashi?

How much money do I need to open a franchise?

A typical full service Ramen Arashi should be approximately 1,500 sq. ft. Costs vary depending on site conditions and size. Conversions may cost less. To start, franchisees should be prepared to make a total investment of $150,000 - $400,000 with a cash equity investment of at least $200,000.

How much are the royalties and other annual fees?

Franchise fee is $35,000 cdn. Royalty fees are 4% of gross sales. Marketing fees are 1% of gross sales.

How much can I make as a Ramen Arashi franchisee?

The factors that influence profits are: quality of cost control management, quality of location, operational standards of excellence to maintain sales, local and national economic factors and the competitive environment in the local market.

Does Ramen Arashi offer financing?

While each franchisee is required to qualify for financing on their own merit and good credit, Ramen Arashi has partnered with Econolease, Canada’s largest Food Equipment Finance Provider.   Econolease offers Lease-To-Own financing over 2 – 5 years with a $10 buyout. We can also direct franchisees to potential sources of government small business loans.

We prefer to locate our restaurants in high density metro and urban mixed-use developments and suburban retail centres with local businesses and offices within proximity and high foot and car traffic. It’s our intention to continue our brand development globally and to introduce Ramen Arashi to new markets.

Do I find my own location?

Franchisees can work with Ramen Arashi’s dedicated team to scout locations, tour sites and find the best option for both the franchisee and the franchisor. Franchisees are also welcome to work with other third-party real estate professionals that they are familiar with.

What size of space is typically needed?

Our typical restaurant unit is 1500 – 2000 sq ft.

How long does it take to open a Ramen Arashi franchise?

From the time a location is secured, it typically takes 9-12 months until a Ramen Arashi is ready to open.

What kind of training can I expect as a franchisee?

Before you open your Ramen Arashi franchise, we will ensure you are properly trained on our standards, procedures, recipes and operations. Ramen Arashi offers a comprehensive training program which you will undergo at one of our current Ramen Arashi locations. Training typically starts in conjunction with construction, which is approximately 90 days before opening.

Ramen Arashi has negotiated contracts with suppliers to ensure that each restaurant receives the same products at competitive pricing. Furthermore, the systems and tools used by Ramen Arashi ensure accurate inventory levels, freshly and properly prepared ingredients, and consistent recipes.
