Grand Opening of Langford!

LANGFORD, BC – July 9, 2025 – A mid-week buzz filled Westhills Drive last Wednesday, as ramen lovers turned out in force for the grand opening of Ramen Arashi Langford—a cozy addition that's officially the first and only dedicated ramen shop on the West Shore.
A Cool Day Made for Hot Broth
Temperatures hovered in the low teens—a crisp, cloudy day that couldn’t have been more perfect for steaming bowls of authentic Japanese ramen. As customers shuffled in from the cool air, bowls of Tonkotsu and TanTan Men warmed both hands and hearts alike.
Community Cheers as Councilors Tout the Opening
The ribbon-cutting celebration featured special guests: Langford Councilors Kimberly Guiry and Keith Yacucha. Both marveled at the turnout and praised the new eatery’s potential to add warmth—and flavour—to the local dining scene.
Soft Launch Ensures Smooth Opening
Behind the scenes, a soft launch the week prior allowed the team to refine every detail—from broth consistency to kitchen flow. By official opening day, service ran seamlessly, seating capacity was maximized, and wait times kept to a minimum—a testament to thoughtful planning .
Ramen with Roots—and Room to Grow
Brought to Langford by Yuko and Allan Nichols, the expansion marks site number six in the Ramen Arashi family—from Banff to Victoria, and now Langford. The Langford location offers more than double the seating of the Victoria outlet, with communal bench setups, an expansive bar area, and the same warm wood interiors that define the brand.
Fueling the Community
Ideally located next to the YMCA and near athletic venues—mountain bike trails, climbing gyms, rugby pitches, Pacific FC’s stadium, ice rinks, and a bowling alley—the restaurant is positioned to serve not only ramen lovers, but athletes, families, and active West Shore communities. With over 40 full- and part-time jobs created, this opening brings a boost to the local economy.
Ramen Arashi Langford isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a culinary landmark anchoring the West Shore’s growing food scene. Whether you’re craving a classic Tonkotsu bowl after a workout or want a cozy mid-week dinner, this spot delivers authenticity, atmosphere, and community spirit.
Ramen Arashi’s Wednesday grand opening was a steaming success—cool weather, excellent turnout, trusted local support, and a polished effort thanks to Yuko and Allan.
