Ken and Yuji, the dedicated founders of Ramen Arashi, had cultivated a strong following in Banff with their first location. His initial location quickly became a beloved local institution, drawing crowds with its authentic and meticulously crafted ramen. Following the success of franchises in Canmore, Victoria and Kelowna, the idea of a second location in Banff began to take shape. After careful consideration and observing the fast-paced nature of Banff's environment, they envisioned a new concept: "Ramen Arashi Express." This outpost would be specifically designed for efficiency and speed, allowing customers to enjoy the same high-quality ramen without the extensive wait times associated with the Sundance Mall establishment.
Maintaining the integrity of his traditional ramen was paramount. Ken personally oversaw every aspect of the new venture, from the precise layout of the kitchen to the rigorous training of the new team members. He ensured that the core principles of Ramen Arashi – fresh ingredients, rich broth, and precise execution – were upheld in this faster-paced setting. The grand opening of Ramen Arashi Express in Banff was met with immediate enthusiasm, successfully addressing the surging customer demand of the original shop.
